Papa Lou and Quinn

Lou loves this little boy (i do too) he is full of energy and loves to ride with Papa Lou for hours on the tractor. Nice part of the tractor is he gets tired and naps come fast.

Lou let him steer the tractor and operater the dumper and he sure liked doing that....

Lou and I managed to get all the dirt off the truck in a timely fashion and had a nice rest of the day. Brady will come today and help lou level it off and now it will be time for the CLEAN PAVERS. WOW...that makes me happy.

matte Joe

this dog is so very special in our lives. We have had dogs in the past and have loved all of them and they are all special in their own right ...but this dog almost talks to you. She is with us all the time and never wanders and is just happy to be at our side. I wish everyone could have a companion like her.

Chad Schmidt and Lou

Chad just turned 41 on 8-20 and happened to stop by. We of course did not know until he was leaving it was his birthday.

Chad owns a logging company and Lou is going to work for Chad a couple days a week for spending money now that he is retired.

Chad and his wife Kim and their son Steven and daughter Erin are just very special people to us. They are smart people and very funny,,,,i mean very funny. When ever we get together we laugh for hours and so enjoy every minute of their company.

We hope to see them often.......

My Hero

Lou found Marsha.....
thank you Lou for all your efforts in finding my best friend (aside from you of course).
He knew I felt bad I could not connect with marsha and thought and thought and finally found them about 3 blocks away at the Indianhead Motel.
How many guys would go to that trouble to find your old friend from High school...

He did and Thank you so very much for what you did for me.
They loved Lou and said how lucky I was to have him for a husband and friend. they loved our yard art and House and were amazed at all our unique things.

I was quite happy that someone fially recognized it as art and not just stuff. Thank you Miller Girls.
It was fun indeed and I think even Lou had a good time with 4 girls laughing and having a good time.
I had a wonderful time.

corn corn corn and Matte Joe

I know we take more pictures of Matte than any other of our dogs, but look at that face. she never wonders and stays close by her Dad as you can see. You see his boot, typically you will see Matte.
After we were all done with the corn and were discussing how many bags we managed, Matte thought she would like to see what all the fuss was about in talking about HOW GOOD THE CORN WAS. I think we got her approval as she licked the bowl clean.
Lou got his firt retirement check today, it was Friday and we did our corn.
Life does not get any better Lou said. I agree...

Mikey's place

We love to hang out with Kathy and Mikey at Mikeys shop. We laugh and have a few drinks and kathy who loves to cook always brings something to much on while we laugh for a good two hours at best. I love Mikeys shop because there is organization, yet not.....if that makes sense. its very casual at best and you never know where you will place your drink or plate of food because he is always making something and it might be that one spot last week you were able to sit. Its the most Wonderful Place to meet up with them. the smell of the wood of all kinds, the equipment dusty from todays and yesterdays making of cabinets just makes you feel at home. You can go down from a hard days work with a baseball cap and dirty t-shirts on and you are always welcome.
Honestly, we all laugh for about two hours and walk away feeling wonderful and being thankful for such treasured friends.

the pictures are crude but real, nothing too fancy except for the truck. (cant resist)

We love Saturdays with them and today is the Chippewa Swap Meet and their son is taking some of Lou's discarded treasures to make money to buy new treasures....so we will try and meet them up there (weather does not look good) but oh well. little rain never hurt a treasure hunter like myself.

LOL

Ellsworth car and tractor show

fun day looking at cars and tractors, big swap meet but only one little treasure to be found.
Pork sandwiches and a beer in the shade was a welcome treat as the sun was very hot,...but no humidity.
We enjoyed the day and were home by 3:30

i think we will go again next year, there were some great cars at this show.

Eddy

Ed, you handsome boy, takes after his Dad who has given him a wonderful personality. Ed is layed back and does not care about anything except wagging his tail and being happy. He is great with getting his teeth brushed every night. Collies have a tendency to have bad breath and dirty teeth for some reason, so after a vet bill to choke a horse we decided it was worth brushing his teeth at night. He is such a good boy, he would let you do anything to him and he just looks at you with unconditional love. How we love our dogs. Ed,,,,your very special to us.

cash, cash the dog.

first, treasures. this is ONE semi full of stuff, I had to fade it out because it was the only way it looked good. LOL. He has semi after semi full of some good, some not so good. All good to him I guess.
Cash, Lou can never not feed or pet or kiss or talk to a dog.
No matter where we go, he finds dogs...........and..........they love him. He brought hot dogs for Billy's dogs Pam and Cash. Cash thought it was worth the standing to get one of these treats.

Paver day two Lou and Cash

Cash, Billy's german boy. Beautiful personality and disposition and protector of the grounds. Sure he and Pam (girl sheppard) bark and look intimidating but when you get out they are all kisses, well not Pam, she is very shy. So day two with pavers was much cooler and nice for loading up the truck. We managed about as many as the day before even though we though.....thought.....we threw more on. None the less we are half way there and from the photos you can see they are CLEAN........I MEAN CLEAN. This is going to save us hours of labor and sweat. We are happy to say the least. Today is Lou's birthday, Happy Birthday Lou.....it was a good day, we hung back and visited most of the day and had steak and shrimp for supper which was outstanding and now we are relaxing a bit looking over the pictures from today photo shoot.
let me talk about people who collect stuff. bILLY has trailers and trailers full of HIS treasures. I know people have good intentions, either its too good to throw out, has a useful purpose within a certain time frame or you will sell later and get rich. Hummmmmmmmmmm, wonder what Billy is thinking. None the less, it was great for pictures and THANK YOU BILLY FOR THE PAVERS.

Man and Dog (Matte Joe)

this car is a super buy we got in Waukesha at the car show. Lou saw this car and we kept walking around it and looking at it and admiring it, (along with many other car enthusiasts) It is a chopped down model T roadster. Old Hot Rod out of the 40's, 50's.
Lou wants to take Matte to Bonnerville as she requires less luggage than myself. LOL. There is no room for anything but Lou and his girl....Matte Joe. As you can see she is proud to be with her dad in this car and someday it may even run now that Lou is retired and has time to work on the things he loves. Dogs and cars (and me). She is ready and willing to go when he say's "LETS GO MATTE" and she is up and willing to go anywhere, anytime. Man and dog.......how sweet!!!
